 Artist statement:

Expressing and Creating Art is both a calling and journey. I enjoy studio work as well as plein air. The latter being more loosely done than the former. For myself, making art far transcends the end result. One of my greatest pleasures is watching my pictures unfold. As I paint, I begin to develop a relationship with my painting, and, they become my close friends. I also believe that drawing and painting is akin to meditation.

Artist Bio:

I worked in the electronic industry for 30 years. It was a very rewarding career and very creative in its own way. At the age of 55 I was tapped on the shoulder by the Art Bug and started drawing. My first art instruction book was “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” by Betty Edwards. I still pick it up and read it occasionally. Now that I am retired from the industry I paint daily.
